Cooley Grands come to Visit

Salinapolis!!

G'pa & G'ma Cooley came for a visit!  We had a wonderful time with them, seeing parts of our new country.  A new favorite place to explore was Salinas!!  Everyone LOVES the ocean!

Our hotel was a block off the beach, had 5 different pools - a kiddie pool, an exercise pool, a relaxing pool with a swim up bar and island, a water-slide pool, and a hot tub pool.

The girls enjoy some batata fritas at the swim up bar.

Caleb had a close encounter with the pool edge and we got to experience Brasil's public health care system personally.  He ended up with several stitches in his chin, and we have a memory that will never be forgotten.

Yummy Food!

The hotel came with a delicious breakfast each morning.
Lots of fruit, breads, hot foods, juices, and more.

~ Beach Memories ~

So great to have the grandparents with us!

Same kids, a little older, same poses, different ocean!

So many unique things to see on the beach.

You can buy tons of stuff right from the beach...toys, jewelry, rides, food, and more.

Restaurants own these shelters.  You can put your things at them, stay out of the sun a bit, and then order lunch from them to "pay" for your time spent there.

We had tons of fun on the beach.  We gathered a bit of a crowd too, with our blonde, blonde hair and very bad Portuguese.

 Sand Dunes!

These sand dunes were very near to the hotel.  We climbed them and explored for a bit.  During the rainy season a part of them is filled with water creating a lake called "Coca Cola Lake" due to its dark color.

It was a great time at the ocean!
