The fruit is upon us -- almost literally! We have an abundance of fruit to eat. The banana trees that Dennis planted are now giving a bountiful harvest. The stalks look good and it won't be long until we cut them off the tree and start eating.

Going "Bananas" for Tropical Fruit

Back in the Tropics
We're back in the tropics and the fruit abounds. It's so amazing to live in a place where tropical fruits grow literally right outside our door. When we first moved here in 2006, Dennis planted some pineapple plants using the tops of some pineapples we bought to eat.
We are now seeing the "fruit" of his labors.
~~~
Here's Elisabeth standing in our Pineapple Patch.
Dennis picks our first home grown pineapple.
Caleb separates the top from the fruit for us.
Nathanael shows us what we'll plant again so that we can have even more pineapple plants.
Hannah thinks she'll take a whack at cutting the pineapple.
I decide to help her out so that we don't lose any fingers in the process.
We all enjoy the sweet, delicious taste of a freshly picked pineapple.
