AVA Baptism Service
Friday, April 15, 2011
On Friday, April 15th, eight young people confessed their faith in Jesus and were baptized at the AVA pool. What an amazing testimony of their faith!
Dennis talks with Tiffany, whose mom gave permission for her to be baptized just minutes before the service started...an answer to prayer.
Sisters, Rahel & Nadine, have an identical stance as they wait to be baptized.
Jerry & Victor read some Scripture during the service.
Each student read their testimony before they were baptized.
The AVA family came to celebrate this step of faith with these students.
Congratulations to Andrew, Alek, Jerry, Victor, Nathania, Rahel, Nadine & Tiffany! May you continue to grow in your faith!

Spring Break
Salinas
April 16-20, 2011
We celebrated Dennis' birthday by heading to the beach.
We stopped at a tourist rest area for some frozen fruit drinks on our way out.
The beach is one of our favorite places to be!!
And it's even more fun when all your friends are there too!!
The "Beth" Friends

The Atalaia Inn Hotel
It doesn't have very many stars given to it, but it's right on the beach, so what more can you ask for.

(Route of the Salt)
Excellent Food!
Rota do Sal's Kitchen
One meal we ate at Rota do Sal, there were 34 people from the AVA family! Great times!

We were there right after the Spring Equinox and at the Full Moon, both of which cause extremely high tides. The water came up into the hotel's area.
