Mother's Day
Nathanael invented a new place to relax and study his lines for the upcoming play. It worked well until the storm came.
She is thrilled to now be a true teen.

We celebrated on Friday with her girl classmates. They came home from school with her. After a yummy meal of spaghetti, they played a "scavenger hunt" type game called "Bigger or Better."
They left in two teams from our house with a 5 cent pencil.
After racing around the two condominiums (closed communities--AVA and the one next to AVA), going to various home and trading for something either "bigger" or "better" than what they had, they came home with an interesting painting and a Garfield pillow.
It was a fun game.
They went swimming for a couple hours, then came home for cake & presents.
That evening they played several rounds of Apples to Apples, ate some yummy pizza, and then watched movies, giggled, and told "scary" stories half the night.
Great fun was had by all!!
On Sunday we invited the Stewarts, our neighbors, over for lasagna and celebrated her entrance into the teen years. It was a much more subdued party, but fun nonetheless. :o)

Elisabeth, who is most often known as Lizzy these days, became a teenager on Sunday, May 17th.We have another Teenager!!!

Happy Birthday Elisabeth! A teenager? WOW! I still have your second grade picture up on a wall in my second grade classroom. I will have to add a new picture. We also have your magnet on the world map on Brazil as a reminder to pray for your family. It is great to see all these pictures. WHAT WONDERFUL MEMORIES!
